Or maybe it’s the opposite - your dog is flat, lacks confidence, and you’d love to bring them out of their shell.

 

I’ve been training companion dogs and shelter dogs for 30 years. Ten years ago, I got into ring sports and performance - and what I learned rocked my world. It gave me fresh eyes to see how to help these dogs and how it’s all related - the “too much” dog and the flat, shut-down dog are two sides of the same coin.

 

It changed the way I do pet dog training, changed my behavior protocols for challenging cases, and helped me really see difficult dogs.

 

I take what I’ve learned in competition and apply it to the dogs living in your house or on your client roster.

• Use structure that brings out their best.

This works for dogs that feel like “too much” AND dogs that need to be brought out of their shell.

Workshop Format

Each weekend includes working dogs and observers. Working sessions are coached and hands-on. Spectators are actively involved through guided discussion, live coaching breakdowns, and the chance to see the process unfold in real time.

Working spots are for both days and build on one another.

Spectators - plan to attend the full weekend if possible  to get the most out of the experience.
